CH2M HILL was looking to integrate their specification libraries from several diverse business groups into a system that would allow everyone to share each other’s documents with a minimum of clerical work. The company decided that it could save internal funds by integrating a commercial system into the mix thus allowing some internally maintained documents to be dropped in favor of using the commercial system. After reviewing the three commercial systems on the market CH2M HILL chose SpecText as the basic system to build their integrated program around. While all of the commercial systems have their positive features SpecText was chosen for its ease of use, solid CSI based formatting and content location, and a background software format.
